 and the first time the race was not held on public roads. Prominent motorcycle racer Frank Pratt won the handicap race driving a BMW sports car. Alf Najar finished second driving a stripped down MG with Dick Bland third driving a George Reed constructed Ford V8 special. Bland also completed the 42 laps in the fastest elapsed time, but unlike later handicap races was not officially recognised in any way.
