In the playoffs the Bullets would survive a tough 7-game series against the Buffalo Braves. A highlight of the series was that the home team took all 7 game in a series. In the Eastern Finals, the Bullets got off to a quick start jumping out to a 3-1 series lead against the Boston Celtics.
