on September 16, 1979. The event was held to to practice a Formula One race at the circuit, that was supposed to hold the Italian Grand Prix
every two year in turns with Monza. The 1980 Italian Grand Prix
was indeed held at the circuit, but the race was assigned as the San Marino Grand Prix
beginning from 1981.
