for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Columbus, though, climbed out of the basement in the Central Division for the 1st time in club history, as they finished ahead of the Chicago Blackhawks

provided the team toughness, earning a team high 228 penalty minutes.
In goal, Marc Denis
