2005–06 Vancouver Canucks season
Encyclopedia
The 2005–06 Vancouver Canucks
season
was the Canucks' 35th NHL season.
In the first season after the lockout, the Canucks were expected to fare as well, if not better, than the previous season, where they captured the Northwest Division
title. However as the season went along, several key players were hampered by injuries and the team failed to meet expectations, ultimately missing the playoffs. As a result, coach Marc Crawford
was fired, and the team underwent numerous changes over the summer.
