held in various countries throughout the Oceania
region. The season began 12 October 2008 with the Herald Sun Tour
and ended 15 February 2009 with the Oceania Cycling Championships. The Tour Down Under
(UCI rated 2.HC) again will be part of the 2009 UCI ProTour
.
The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI Oceania Tour cycling jersey
