. Second team who qualifies for UEL is determined by another play-off which is played by the teams who finished the normal season at 5th through 8th places. Bottom three teams relegate to 2012–13 TFF Second League. The start date of the league is 10 September 2011 and end date of normal season is 8 April 2012.

A2 team
TFF has organized an A2 league organized for players over 19 years of age and composed of four groups played by 37 teams (18 Süper League teams, 18 TFF First League teams and Ankaraspor who have not attended to TFF first League even if they had the right to do so). Mersin İdmanyurdu A2 team took place in 4th group (which was cmposed of 10 teams). In 2011-12 season league was played in three stages. First satge was as explained above. In the second stage first and second teams play in final group whereas the rest play in classification groups. In the play-off stage, top four teams in final group and the top teams in classification groups play elimination games.League position (first stage):
