The 2013 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup will be the seventh edition FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, governed by FIFA. Previous editions before 2005 were not governed by FIFA and were held under the title Beach Soccer World Championships. Overall this will be the 17th edition of the World Cup since its establishment in 1995. It will take place in Tahiti
, the fourth tournament to take place outside Brazil. This will be the second tournament to take place under the new two-year basis; now the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup will take place once every two years. The tournament was confirmed in March 2010.
