Qualification

The 2019 World Cup will feature 10 teams, down from 14 teams in 2011 and 2015. The top eight teams in the ICC rankings will earn automatic qualification with the remaining two places decided by a qualifying competition. This will allow ICC associate and affiliate members to qualify, and could mean that, for the first time, a Cricket World Cup may not feature every Test playing nation
