system. It will be located on Flower Street at 23rd Street, in the North University Park
neighborhood of Los Angeles
. When it opens, this station will be served by the Expo Line.
This station is currently under construction as part of Expo Phase 1
. It is expected to open in January 2012.

The station's art is being created by artist Christofer C. Dierdorff. Entitled The Intimacy of Place, the installation will use photographs of the fronts and backs of the heads of local people, creating intimate portraits that show each individual in the context of her/his role in the community.
