.
Its two members – Inga Humpe and Tommi Eckart – are the former singers of the group Neonbabies.
's "Cabinet" brand. When the song unexpectedly became a hot tip, 2raumwohnung decided to publish it as a single, and later on the album Kommt zusammen (Come Together), which debuted at #21 on the German pop album charts on 16 July 2001. Their subsequent single "2 von Millionen von Sternen" (Two Out of Millions of Stars) – originally a jingle for a 2000 - 2001 advertising campaign by HypoVereinsbank

– entered the singles charts on 14 January 2002 at #95.
In 2003, their second release, In wirklich (In Real) won the German Dance Award for best album. The third album, Es Wird Morgen (It is becoming Morning) was released in 2004. The fourth album, Melancholisch schön (Melancholically Beautiful), was released in June 2005 and the fifth, 36grad (36 Degrees), followed in February 2007.
