The Gawad Genio Awards was instituted by the Critics' Academy Film Desk of Zamboanga City in the year 2006. This award gives recognition to the year's best in the movie industry....

was held at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU) in Zamboanga City. Special Features, Video Clips, and best performances from individuals and/or movies that were nominated were shown. The said event happened on January 02,2011.
