The 677th Bombardment Squadron is an inactive United States Air Force
unit. It was last assigned to the 444th Bombardment Group
. It was inactivated at Davis-Monthan Field, Arizona
on 1 October 1946.

in newly-established airfields in Mariana Islands
in Central Pacific Area for further operations against Japan. Squadron participated in bombardment of strategic objectives, strategic mining of the Inland Sea and in incendiary raids on urban areas for the duration of the war.
Squadron returned to the United States in late 1945, assigned to Continental Air Command, and later becoming one of the initial bomb squadrons of the new Strategic Air Command
. Demobilization, however, was in full swing and the squadron turned in its aircraft and was inactivated on 1 October 1946.
