. The whole length of the road is within Medway Unitary Authority and is a non-primary route.

Approximately 1.9 miles (3.1 km) along the A230 the road bends to the right onto Horsted Way, heading in a south-westerly direction, where it terminates at a roundabout adjacent to MidKent College
