History

Founded in 2005 by Abu Dhabi Holding Company in response to growing local demand for high-quality educational institutions, the university was named after the historic ALHOSN Palace in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. Campuses and buildings

The university’s City Campus includes the Men’s Campus, the Women’s Campus, a Library Building, a Lectures Building, an Engineering Labs Building and a Studio Building. A world-class main campus is being planned. Students of all nationalities and those with special needs are accepted, and women are encouraged to join the engineering programs.

Admissions

An estimated 1,400 students during the spring of 2009 and an 831% increase in the 2009 summer enrolment over the past three years. Several service and facility upgrades where implemented in 2009, including the construction of a new Studio Building.
