's game engine, GMotor2, which was used in rFactor

. In August 2006, The Sim Factory purchased the rights to use the GMotor2 engine in their software, and with the help of ISI, The Sim Factory was able to recode the engine to produce a realistic stock car simulation.

The game is produced by a very small company consisting of about 10 devoted developers. The software was released for pre-ordering on January 1, 2008. The game originally included 10 (now 15) tracks that were scratch built to replicate the real life tracks.
