The AWA United States Championship was a short-lived title in the early days of the American Wrestling Association
. It was known as the NWA United States Title (Chicago version) from 1953 until 1958. Then it was called the NWA United States Title (Minneapolis version) until the AWA was created in 1960, when it became the AWA United States title.
