Writing and recording
In August 2009 Caro Emerald songwriters David Schreurs and Vince Degiorgio were asked to write a track with a "60s feel" for a Martini vermouth advertisement campaign. The duo readily accepted the commission but grew increasingly unhappy about agreeing to give up the 40s/50s concept they had successfully cultivated with Caro Emerald, and five days of writing sessions proved unsuccessful. On their final day together the writers decided they would return to their familiar era and compose another song for the debut Caro Emerald album. Schreurs told HitQuartersHitQuarters
