Fiora was retained when new coach Ross Lyon

. Under Lyon's tutelage Fiora enjoyed an excellent and consistent season, having improved his offensive running ability. He became a regular goalkicker for St Kilda in 2007 and averaged 15 disposals, 5 marks and 2 tackles over the course of the season and finally looks to have cemented his place as a solid AFL footballer. At the end of 2008 he was delisted from St Kilda.
