He had one season at Albion Boys Club before moving to Montrose FC where he made his debut in the final day of the Scottish Third Division season against Albion Rovers. The following two seasons he became a first team regular at Links Park
. His first goal came on 16 March 2010, against Forfar Athletic
, with his second coming 4 days later. In his second season, Sinclair scored 3 goals within the opening two months and was awarded with the Irn-Bru
