Prince Abdul-Ilah was born in 1935. He is the second son from King Abdul-Aziz's marriage with Princess Haya bint Saad al-Sudairi to survive infancy. He served as the governor of Al-Qassim Province from March 1980 to March 1992 and then as governor of Al Jawf ProvinceAl Jawf Province
