Abdur Rahman Biswas (born 1 September 1926 in the village of Shaistabad, Barisal District
) was the President of Bangladesh
between 1991 and 1996.

Biswas was educated in the village where he was born and at Dhaka University, where he received history degrees (a Bachelor of Arts (with honors) and a Master of Arts) and a degree in law.
