Abel Guier is the bass guitarist for the Costa Rican music group

Abel joined Gandhi in 1996, before the recording of their first album El Jardín del Corazón

. From the beginning he liked the bass, but mostly he wanted to write as a way of expression. He is a lyricist and songwriter, and has a dark style, but sensitive at the same time, as he grew up listening to progressive bands such as Genesis

. He currently teaches bass and music privately, and when not performing or teaching, he takes care of his cattle and ranch in Alajuela
. He enjoys playing and watching soccer games, reading, and listening to music. Guier is also the bass player for the band Parque en el Espacio and Villegas.
