Acacia retinodes

Acacia elongata is a perennial tree which is widely distributed throughout the world. It is unusual amongst the Acacias, since it flowers the whole year round. Some common names for Acacia elongata are Retinodes Water Wattle, Swamp Wattle, Wirilda, Ever-blooming Wattle and Silver Wattle.
It grows to a height of 6-10m.

Uses

Its uses include environmental management and it is used for ornamental purposes. It produces good quantities of gum and its bark is good for tanning
