. Of the various notebook series Acer has offered, the TravelMate is designated as a business and professional computer. Previously, the TravelMate name was used by Texas Instruments

The travelmate 6292 is a small, lightweight business oriented laptop manufactured by Acer inc. from 2007-2009. It features an Intel centrino duo chip set conssiting of 802.11a/g/draft-n, Bluetooth 2.0+edr and an Intel Core 2 Duo processor at 2.0 or 2.2 GHz. The unit comes with 2GB of 667Mhz DDR2 SO-DIMM ram and a 160GB hdd using an Intel GMA X3100 graphics accelerator.. The laptop has been praised for its ruggedness but has been faulted for its poor visual appeal.

In North America, the model comes with 1GB of system memory which is DDR SDRAM and with a 120GB Hard drive. It does not include a "system recovery" portion in the hard drive. Also comes with a 128 MB video memory based on the nvidia technology. The video memory is not shared.
