Adam Byrnes is an International professional rugby union
player. His position is lock. Byrnes played 2 seasons, 2005/06 & 2006/07, for the Heineken Cup Champion side Leinster in Ireland. Byrnes then made his Super Rugby debut for the Queensland Reds
in 2009, and played there into 2010. He then moved to the Melbourne Rebels
, and played a big part in their inaugural season where he is a popular figure.
He travelled to Europe in August 2011 to train with Russia
for the preparation of the Rugby World Cup

In June 2011 Byrnes was named in Russia's "preliminary training squad of 50 players" to train for the 2011 Rugby World Cup
in New Zealand. He then went on to star for Russia in the 2011 Rugby World Cup playing in all 4 games
