Personal life

Healey is from Marlborough in Wiltshire, England. He was educated at St John's High School in Marlborough, turning down a place at the prestigious Marlborough College (an elite private institution) in order to stay with his childhood friends. Healey went on to take a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Studies from 1984-88 at the City of Birmingham University. Whilst he was at university, Healey was the creative force behind cult gothic band Children on Stun, which played many small venues in the Midlands area of the UK from 1984-88. His former student residence on City Rd in the Bearwood district of Birmingham has become something of a site of pilgrimage for former fans.

Healey is a Swindon Town fan. Swindon Town are currently in League 2 of the Football League in the UK, which is the lowest division of English football.

Healey currently lives in West Hartford, Connecticut with his wife and two children.
