The species cannot tolerate frost and tropical countries with a moist climate. The leaves should be well watered; about once every week.The soil mixture should be moist but not soaked up. Intense sunlight does not do it good. It grows best under a light shade. The recommended temperature for proper growth is 22-27 degrees celsius.
