The village has about 67 km of paved road, about 8 to 10 km of gravel road and has about 8 km of hydro and phone lines.

Geography

Much of the area are mountainous and are grassy and has a few pines, farmlands are around the village.

History

The village was destroyed in the 1953 Ionian earthquake and emigration occurred at a higher rate until the 1970s, the village recovered a small part of the population between 1991 and 2001. Agios Nikolaos became connected with asphalt in the 1980s. Electricity, radio and automobiles were introduced in the mid-20th century, television in the late-20th century and computer and internet at the turn of the millennium. In the mid to late 1990s, the ex-community (now a village and a municipal district) joined to become the newly formed municipality of Eleios-Pronnoi.
