Overview

The Agstafachay reservoir was built on Agstafa River in 1969 near the village of Cəfərli of Qazakh Rayon. The area of the Agstafa reservoir is 6.3 sqkm. The overall volume of the reservoir is 120 million m3. The height of the hydroelectric power station built on the reservoir is 52 m (170.6 ft).
The reservoir provides irrigation water to 135 ha (333.6 acre) of land in Agstafa, Qazakh, Shamkir, Tovuz raion
