Aguleri is an ancient kingdom in Southeastern Nigeria

Administration
The Town is administered by Town Unions and with help from the Traditional Rulers of the component Autonomous Communities. The Umu-Ezeora Royal Family of Enugu - Aguleri had been the custodian of the Traditional Rulership of Aguleri and the current Eze Aguleri, HRH Eze Augustine Chukwuemeka Eri, is the Iduu Eri, Ezedigbo Eze-Ora XXXIV of Aguleri. He is the paramount traditional Ruler of Aguleri. However, there are other Autonomous Traditional Rulers, for the component communities HRH, Igwe Roland Obi Chinwuba, The Ochendo of (Aguleri,Marcel Actor Mr. Trust Eze Ndi Eze 1 of Aguleri), Igwe of Ivite Aguleri, HRH, Igwe Churistoper Idigo, Ogalagidi of Aguleri, Igwe of Eziagulu, HRH Igwe Anthony Ogugua, Ezeudo of Enuguotu, and HRH, Igwe Titus Nwatah, Igwe Omamburu of Eziagulu-Otu .- The ndi Ichie & cabinet chiefs
