The Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute is the result of a merger between the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) and the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association (GAMA) announced Dec. 19, 2007. The merged associations became Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) on Jan. 1, 2008.
