Al-Hilal Sports Club is an Omani football club
currently playing in the top level of the Omani League
after promotion from second division in the 2009-10 season. The club is based in Salalah, Oman
, along with Dhofar, Al-Nasr

. In the 2008-09 season of the Omani League, they were on the brink of being promoted to first division, but came in short losing to city rivals, Al-Nasr.
Al-Hilal were known to have not seen only but a few glimpses of first divisional competition, but in 2010 the club finally returned to the first division after another excellent season in the second division, receiving second place, losing only to Al-Ahli

Al-Hilal were founded in 1981 as "Al-Mughsail". The club was then renamed "Al-Hilal. Shortly after the club were promoted to first division in 2010, it was considered that the club should be changed to "SalalahSalalah
