. He also performed as a singer and piano player on 18 recordings using other names such as Ali Hassan, Crazy Luke, The Galaxies, Dudley Duncan and Al Anthony. When he was sixteen, he had his first song arranged by Nelson Riddle and recorded on RCA Victor and, before he quit the music business in 1965, he had over 80 of his songs released and performed by hit artists such as Ritchie Valens, James Darren, Wanda Jackson, Terry Melcher, The Bell Sisters, Russell Arms and Johnny Crawford.
As a music producer, Hazan produced over 50 records, released on various labels including Capitol Records, United Artists Records, Rendezvous Records, Philles Records, Ava Records and Columbia Records. He worked with Fred Astaire

Besides his career in music, Hazan is a licensed real estate broker, an author/poet, has been a professional fashion photographer, served two years overseas in the armed forces and, after going back to college later in life, graduated U.C.L.A. Magna Cum Laude and earned a Ph.D. in Psychology.
As Dr. Hazan, he was awarded a presidential commendation by President Ronald Reagan
for his work with victims of violent crimes. He also specializes in couple’s therapy and wrote his first book about love relationships entitled "Blissful Fusion - The Seven Stages of a Successful Love Relationship." A year later he followed up with a novel entitled "The Will to Love." His poems have been published in magazines and some are available on the Internet.

Al Hazan was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. To history fans of American pop-rock music he is sometimes called the “Mystery Music Man of the 1960’s” because of his tendency to use other names for his recording artist performances.
