 tribe. The leaders of the Shammar normally came from Jafaar lineages such as Al Ali, Al Rashid and Al Sabhan.

The Al Sabhan dynasty descended from Sabhan bin Hamed bin Rashid bin Ghaleb bin Saeed bin Ghaleb bin Khudair bin Jafaar bin Mohammad bin Shahwan bin Daygam. They are descendants of the "dayaghem" qahtanite tribe that immigrated from Yemen 400 years ago to hail in the north and joined the "tai" tribe which lived in hail since ancient times, and together the dhayagem and tai joined and formed the "Shammar" tribe. The diaghem were renamed abdah to differentiate them from the tai tribe that joined "shammar".

Al Sabhan dynasty joined together with the Al Rashid at Khudair bin Jafaar (The ancestor of the jafar clan of abda section of the Shammar tribe) bin Mohammad bin shahwan bin daygam, they are a cousins and have a strong relevance between them.

Sabhan had four sons, Zamil (1st.), Ali, Salama, and Salem, the first members in this family are supported the first amir of Al Rashid (Abdullah) and his brother Obaid, especially the first Zamil Al Sabhan, who went to Iraq with Abdullah Al Rashid - without Obaid Al Rashid who stay at Ha'il - to seek for support from Ottoman empire through the wāli
