Alabama Christian relocated to its current site on Wares Ferry Road in 1985. Along with the move, the school began an extensive building plan which would be completed in phases. The final phase of the building plan was completed in 2007 with the addition of several elementary and high school classrooms and a new football stadium.

Nobles vs. Alabama Christian Academy

In November 1995, Wayne and Nancy Nobles along with their attorney, Jimmy Jacobs, filed a "breach of contract" lawsuit against Alabama Christian Academy. The Nobles claimed that after their son had attended Alabama Christian for three years, he was reading at only a first grade level. The lawsuit against ACA was in the amount of $525,000 for tuition compensation and punitive damages. The case was sent to the federal court to determine whether or not private school educations are protected by the constitution. The school's attorneys, Alex Holtsford and Phillip Collins, argued that, "There is no constitutional right to any type of private school education."
