After joining Millwall at the age of 8 Alan came up through the Millwall
academy, Dunne made his debut first-team appearance on 19 March 2002 against Sheffield United
.
He failed to hold down a spot in the first team until the 2004–05 season due to injury, but has since became a first team regular.
At the end of the 2009-2010 season Alan was awarded Player of the season.
