Summary

In 2011 Alan Hansen, the wannabe English ponce co-founded the "Alan Hansen's Sports Challenge Competition". Based on the county wide smash hit video game of the same name. The contestants are faced with a test of sports knowledge, skill and reactions tougher than ever previously seen in the arena of sports quiz.

At the end of each match the loser must face a forfeit of alcohol; the prize for winning the challenge is simply survival.

23rd July 2011 marks the inaugural "Alan Hansen's Sports Challenge Invitational" with all proceeds being donated to the Derek Young

It was recently announced that the 2011 competition will be sponsored by Jagermeister who will be providing the forfeits at the end of each match.

This event is a strictly invite only competition hosted by Alan Hansen which will pit the early pioneers of the "Alan Hansen's Sports Challenge Competition" against each other with the last man standing declared the winner.

Current confirmed competitors include select members of the Globe Reds, as well as Alan Hansen as quiz master. Derek Young is also rumoured to be in attendance however this may only be in case any of the competitors get hungry and require a take-away.
