The Albany Legends are a professional basketball

went defunct. A new era of pro ball, "Rim Rock'in Pro Ball with Community Purpose" was introduced to Albany on April 9, 2010 and the Legends finished off their inaugural season 19-3. The leading scorer was Kenny Satterfield
and DeAndre Thomas was the team's leading rebounder. The team's leader in assists is also former NBA player Kenny Satterfield

in the IBL Championship Game in their first season in existence, the Legends worked with over twenty five community groups, providing youth clinics, fund raising opportunities, donations, complimentary tickets for youth organizations and sponsored a college scholarship as well as a 13U inner city AAU Boys basketball program. Nine graduates of the 2010 Legends went on to further their professional careers in winter ball in five continents around the world, including North and South America, Asia, Europe and Africa.
