in the district of Willisau in the canton
of Lucerne in Switzerland
.
The municipality is located on the edge of the Wauwilermoos bog. It consists of the linear village
of Alberswil, the hamlet
of Burgrain and Schloss (castle) Kasteln.
In the 2007 election the most popular party was the CVP
which received 41.8% of the vote. The next three most popular parties were the FDP
(30.5%), the SVP
(17.7%) and the Green Party
(7%).
