History

Albury Station was opened on 3 February 1881. This coincided with the opening of the Gerogery

 line from Melbourne reached Albury in 1883. New South Wales had a different railway gauge, which meant that all travellers in either direction had to change trains at Albury. To accommodate this, a very long railway platform
