. They give it a population of 243,344, making it the thirtieth-largest urban area in the UK . It consists of the following towns:
Several other continuous villages form part of the conurbation, including Ash

, Mytchett, Badshot Lea
, Tongham
and Frimley Green
.
Much of the conurbation is part of the Aldershot Parliamentary Constituency. This includes most of the area west of the River Blackwater
minus Farnham
, Yateley
and Sandhurst.
The urban area also forms a major part of the London commuter belt
and is also known as the Blackwater Valley
conurbation.
