 round, Perilli was killed in an accident. He had veered the track, and when he wanted to return to the track, Perilli lost control of his bike and was thrown off of it. He landed in front of the bike of Dutch racer Ghisbert Van Ginhoven, which hit Perilli on the head and neck. Perilli was rushed to the local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
