Although racked with guilt, Taylor did not tell Thorne or Aly that she was the one driving the car, but instead helped them to cope with their loss, and Aly began to look at her as a mother figure. Ally urges Thorne to cancel the wedding after discovering Taylor killed her mother. Thorne broke off the engagement. This was the impetus that allowed Stephanie to forgive Ann, and allow her back in her life.
