. It is a combined primary and high school (classes from kindergarten to Year 12) and is located on two campuses: a junior campus opposite Alexandria Park, and a senior campus on Mitchell Road in Alexandria.

While the school provides for gifted and talented

, and offers selective places to candidate students who perform well in the state-wide examination undertaken in Year 6.

The junior school also has OC (Opportunity Class) places, in a class for gifted and talented pupils in years 5 and 6. Students wishing to enter these classes must participate in an examination and placement process that usually begins in Year 4.

History

The school was formed after the amalgamation of Redfern Public School, Waterloo Public School, Alexandria Public School and Cleveland Street High School. The Cleveland Street High School was formerly located on Cleveland Street
