in Gold while assigned to the I.Battalion, 5th SS Artillery Regiment SS Division Wiking in January 1943.
In March 1945 he was added to the Honour Roll Clasp of the Army
and the Knight's Cross
was awarded at the end of the war on the 9 May 1945, while in command of the II.Battalion, 11th SS Artillery Regiment, 11th SS Panzergrenadier Division Norland.
Fischer survived the war but died in the prisoner of war
