Carricaberry played youth football with Club Floresta in Buenos Aires and then Estudiantil Porteño before joining San Lorenzo in 1919.

He made his debut in the first team on 25 April 1920 in a game against Racing Club de Avellaneda. He went on to make 274 appearances for the club scoring 104 goals and winning many trophies.

In 1923 Carricaberry scored the winning goal in the Copa del Río de la Plata, San Lorenzo also won the AAmF championship an achievement they repeated in 1924.
