The Ligue Professionnelle 2 (liɡ pʁɔfɛsjɔnɛl dø), known as Ligue 2 for short, and formerly known as Championnat National 2, is the second-highest division overall in the Algeria

The 2011-12 season will be played between 16 teams, with the top three teams being promoted to the Ligue Professionnelle 1 and the bottom three teams being relegated to the Ligue Nationale du Football Amateur.
