 was cast as the innocent farm girl Alison and at first she enjoyed the experience. However after a year Cormack was sick of the show and decided to leave. She became the first character to leave the show.

Steve breaks the news to Alison that Chris cheated on her and they break up, only to reconcile and get engaged. However on the night before the wedding, Chris breaks it to Alison he is calling it off to reconcile with his ex wife Melanie Kirk (Tina Regtien). A devastated Alison has brief romantic tensions with both Steve and Chris' brother Guy

). However Darryl's menacing and manipulative ways wedge Alison closer to recently divorced ex Chris. The two get engaged once again, but a jealous Darryl drugs Chris and locks him in a barn, causing him to miss the wedding. Alison returns in December 1993 seeking help from Chris and Michael McKenna

). It turns out her husband Jean-Luc (Pierre Foret) is abusive and a terrorist. She asks Michael for plastic surgery so Jean-Luc will not recognise her, but unfortunately Jean-Luc tracks her down and the two have a showdown on the Raynor family farm. Jean-Luc falls to his death and Darryl helps Alison clean up the crime before she leaves once again.

After departure

Chris leaves Shortland Street in 1996 and travels to America. It is revealed that he found Alison and they solved their issues and married. In 2000 it is revealed that Chris was caught cheating on Alison with his PA and the two divorced. In 2010 it was revealed that Alison was pregnant without Chris' knowledge and she gave birth to a baby she named Phoenix Raynor (Geordie Holibar) in mid 1996.

Sometime between 1996 and 2009, Alison and Phoenix move to Southland

to live with Alison's uncle Brian. Unfortunately, Alison drowns when she falls overboard from a yacht in 2009.
