Alka Tomar

Alka Tomar is an Indian wrestler. The national National Women Wrestling champion of India, she received the bronze medal in Wrestling (55 kg Freestyle) at the Doha Asian Games in 2006. Alka Tomar also received a bronze at the Senior Wrestling Championships in Guangzhou in China 2006.
She was born in a Rajput
family in Sisoli village in Meerut district
in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Sisoli is one of the 12 villages of Tomar Rajput
in this region called as Baraha. She is also a recipient of Arjuna award 2007. The Arjuna Award is India's leading award presented for Sports persons in India.
She also won a Gold Medal at the Commonwealth Games 2010 in Delhi. She is the only gold medal winner from the Western Uttar Pradesh region.
